Community Partnership for Health Promotion and Sustainable Development (Health-Friendly Communities- HFC)

Together for Better Health and a More Sustainable Environment

Community Partnership for Health Promotion and Sustainable Development (Health-Friendly Communities- HFC) brings institutions, supporting organizations, and individuals together in a practical national model designed to raise awareness, apply health and environmental standards, and build safer, higher-quality, and more sustainable communities.

A National Response to Growing Health Challenges

Community Partnership for Health Promotion and Sustainable Development (Health-Friendly Communities- HFC) responds to a genuine and urgent need for an integrated community model that places human health and environmental quality at the heart of development. With the growing prevalence of noncommunicable diseases, changing lifestyles, and declining quality in some work, education, and community settings, it has become essential to move beyond general awareness toward structured, practical implementation that connects knowledge, behavior, standards, services, and community participation.

A Collaborative Model for Human Health and Environmental Quality

The Partnership brings together civil society organizations, institutions, companies, public bodies, supporting organizations, experts, and individuals within one national framework. Its purpose is to promote health, improve quality of life, and advance sustainable practices wherever people live, learn, work, and receive services. Rather than a temporary initiative or a limited activity, it is a long-term model built on collaboration, capacity development, clear standards, impact measurement, and the translation of health and environmental principles into practical everyday action.

Practical Pathways that Create Lasting Impact

The Partnership operates through several integrated pathways: preparing Health and Environment Ambassadors from within the community; supporting institutions and places that wish to apply health and sustainability standards; providing reliable training and scientific content; offering recognition and appreciation to outstanding places; organizing conferences and community activities; sharing inspiring success stories; and providing accessible health and environmental services through a network of partners.
